I phoned the number below and left a voicemail urging them to contact me. That in order to best help them I needed a bit more information – and that I was happy to assist.

I'm phoning using my office line - and that worked.

I'll check back by phoning her tomorrow.

Yes, the message I received was that their phone would not accept calls with a caller id missing or hidden?

Thanks Cindy -

I was able to get through to a phone.

It sounds like you were not able to?

The problem that I had instead was that I was not able to get through to any voicemail - or a person.

I'll try phoning her again tomorrow.

If you want to try that would work well too.

Dear Alison:

I’m sorry I don’t. The voicemail only referenced a telephone number. I contemplated using my own phone to get in touch with her!

Hi Cindy -

Thanks for connecting me with this request.

I tried the phone number myself.

And while it rang - and rang - and rang (dozens of times) - it has no voicemail.

Do you have an email address for her?

Thanks In Advance,

Dear Alison:

I had a voicemail message that came in yesterday from a woman named Cindy Sanders. She wanted to know about the Detroit Veterinary College/School, which I think was part of the School of Medicine in the late 19th century. She was looking to find information on her grandfather who attended the College/School, but possible did not graduate. Her grandfather died in 1950. His name was William Trafton Matthews. I tried calling her telephone number to give her your contact information, but her telephone apparently wouldn’t accept a phone call from the WSU telephone system.

Here is her telephone number: (251) 472-8168.Perhaps you will have better luck!

Thanks!
