Father's Photo In Yearbook

This is a request from a patron whose father attended Wayne from 1990 to 1993. I looked in the yearbooks for him, as requested. My interaction with the patron is attached.

Hi Lukonde -

First of all:
Let me *sincerely* apologize for the delay - somehow my email address was not appended to the last email that you sent.

I looked up your father - and found two graduates - and their photos - in the 1992-1993 Sabre (the WSU yearbook for all schools):
- Chilando K. Mulenga, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Maidstone Mulenga, B.A. in Journalism.

They're both on Page #124 of this yearbook.

I also looked in the 1989-1990, 1990-1991, 1991-1992 yearbooks - both in the Sabre and for the years that had a separate School of Medicine yearbook - those years also, and turned up no Mulenga in those.

It's possible, though, that your father may be pictured in the yearbooks listed above, as only the graduating seniors had their photos included - and often among those individuals, it's only those who paid for a portrait to be taken and included.

You're welcome to visit our Reading Room - we're open Monday to Friday each week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you come in person you're able to take photos with your own device at no charge.

If you want us to take a photo remotely, here are our fees:

Reading Room - https://forms.wayne.edu/584082631d4b9
- This is for a low-resolution photo scan.

Audiovisual Department - http://reuther.wayne.edu/node/116
- This is for a high-resolution photo scan.

I am out of the office on October 17th, but I'm happy to help further if I can in any way.
My Best,

Hello,

My name is Lukonde Mulenga and I'd like to make an appointment for 10/17/17 at the Reuther Library to look at Wayne State yearbooks from 1990-1993. I'm hoping to find my dad in a picture or two in them!

Thank you,
Lukonde Mulenga

Thank you,
